PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact transport device for a web capable of suppressing the change of the web attitude to possible minimum even in case the web is transported between rollers having a long span with a low tension. SOLUTION: The non-contact transport device A for web is equipped with gas jetting means 3A and 3B installed under the web W transported by a web transporting means and levitating the web W by the gas jetted out of nozzles 31A and 31B, a non-contact displacement sensor 4 to sense continuously the displacement of the web in the vertical direction during its being transported, an input means 13 to set the requisite conditions for transporting the web W, and a control means 10 to control the rate of the jetted gas flow from the gas jetting means 3A and 3B upon performing a computing process based on the sensing signal given by the sensor 4 and the output signal from the input means 13.
