PURPOSE: A multimedia automatic response system is provided to allow a user to send and receive a multimedia message including an image and a voice to and from the other party. CONSTITUTION: Mobile terminals(101,102) are caller terminal and receiver terminal. Base stations(111,112) change a signal format so as to be suitable for a wireless link and cable link between the mobile terminals(101,102) and an MSC(Mobile Station Controller)(130), and measure transmission/reception field strength of the mobile terminals(101,102) and provide the measured values to the MSC(130). BSCs(Base Station Controllers)(121,122) manage operations of plural base stations, a service state of base station hardware and software, and so on. The MSC(130) provides a line switching service to the BSCs(121,122) and the mobile terminals(101,102). A multimedia message controller(140) generates and controls a multimedia message by using an SMS processor(150) and an ARS(Automatic Response System) processor(160). An image database(190) stores image data. A voice mail box(180) transfers a voice message to a sender or informs a mobile terminal of a receiver of arrival of a voice message from the sender. An image mail box(170) transfers an image message to the sender or informs the mobile terminal of the receiver of arrival of an image signal from the sender. An image and voice combining mail box(175) transfers an image and voice combined message or informs the mobile terminal of the receiver of arrival of the image and voice combined message from the sender. An SMS processor(150) stores a text message and informs the mobile terminal of the receiver of arrival of the text message. An ARS processor(160) extracts an image or voice message and image and voice combined message that the users of the mobile terminals(101,102) have stored and transmits the extracted message to mobile terminals via the MSC(130). A web server(200) receives a personal image mail box(170) or voice mail box(180) or image and voice combining mail box(175) management signal from a user computer of the mobile terminals(101,102) or a computer(220) of a mobile communication service provider through an Internet network(210) and provides them to each mail box manager. |
