PURPOSE: An energy recovery apparatus of a plasma display panel is provided to prevent the change of the operational voltage range of the energy recovery apparatus, thereby stably supplying and recovering energy. CONSTITUTION: An energy recovery apparatus(60) of a plasma display panel includes a capacitive load, an inductor(L), an energy recovery capacitor(Cs), a plurality of switches(S1,S2,S3) and a diode(D1). The capacitive load is formed equivalently on the discharge cell. The inductor(L) forms the resonance circuit together with the capacitive load. The energy recovery capacitor(Cs) is charged by recovering the energy of the capacitive load. The plurality of switches(S1,S2,S3) are installed between the capacitive load and the energy recovery capacitor(Cs) for controlling the charge/discharge of the capacitive load. And, the diode(D1) is installed between the inductor(L) and the base voltage source(GND) to prevent the voltage between the inductor(L) and the capacitive load from being decreased below the bias potential. |
