PURPOSE: An avatar short message service system and a method thereof are provided to transmit an avatar short message to an avatar short message center, and to process the avatar short message, then to transmit the processed avatar short message to a receiving terminal. CONSTITUTION: An originating terminal(11) originates an avatar short message. A receiving terminal(12) receives the avatar short message. BTSs(21,22) perform wireless communication. A BSC(32) controls the BTSs(21,22). An MSC(41) is connected to the BSC(32), and carries out an exchanging process. The MSC(41) is connected to a PSTN(51), an HLR(52), an SMC(Short Message Center)(71) for routing a short message, and a PDSN(60). The SMC(71) is connected with an avatar SMS server(72) where an application in accordance with an avatar short message service is mounted. A PPG(Push Proxy Gateway)(80) is connected to the PDSN(60) and the SMC(71). |
