The plug has a metal outer conductor sleeve (2) and an insulator (3) inside the sleeve with a contact element (4). The outer conductor sleeve is made of a plastically deformable piece of sheet metal whose basic shape is formed by stamping, cutting or similar and whose sleeve shape is produced by bending. The insulator has at least one peripheral outer ring (5).
