The depth stop (32) is fixable shape locking, esp. locatable, against the hand machine tool. The shape-locked position of the depth stop (32) is arrestable detachable by means of an operating element designed as a slide button. The auxiliary handle (28) at the top carries the slide button (36) and a longitudinal guide (38) for the depth stop (32).
