PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for automatically locking/unlocking a call of a mobile terminal are provided to protect privacy by allowing only an authenticated user to be available for a call by inputting a password. CONSTITUTION: When a call signal is received by a mobile terminal(301), a call lock setting unit sets to lock call connection(302). When an authenticated user inputs an agreed password key code value(303), a cryptoanalysis unit decodes the password and a microprocessor determines whether the inputted key code value is the password code value(304). If the password code value is correct, the password code is decoded and it is discriminated whether the password code is for unlocking call connection or for some other operations. The password code value is decoded(306) and it is determined whether a call check value is false(307). If the call check value is false(307), the microprocessor unlocks the call connection locking set(308) and the authenticated user performs normal call communication(309).
