<p>PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound in high yield and purity through a few processes by reaction of an N-protected glutamic anhydride with an amino acid or a derivative therefrom in the presence of N-hydroxysuccinimide. CONSTITUTION: This N-protected glutamic acidγ-derivative is selectively obtained by reaction between an N-protected glutamic anhydride and an amino acid or a derivative therefrom in the presence of N-hydroxysuccinimide. The protecting group to be used is e.g. benzyloxycarbonyl, t-butyloxycarbonyl, formyl, phthalyl. The amino acid is e.g. glycine, alanine,β-alanine, glutamine, asparagine, valine. The amino acid derivative is e.g. a peptide consisting of a sequence of several amino acids mentioned above, an amino acid or peptide with theω-amino group protected by e.g. formyl group.</p> |
