<p>Impact sensing device (1) has a force or pressure-sensitive impact sensor (2) and a processing arrangement (3) with control means (3.1) for the impact sensor and processing means (3.2) for processing a signal originating from the sensor. The processing arrangement also has a regulator for adjusting the static operating point (4.4) of the impact sensor device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a vehicle pedestrian protection system; and (2) a corresponding car or goods vehicle equipped with such a protection system.</p>
