BRUSH ROLL APPARATUS HAVING EXPANDABLE DIAMETER IMPROVING WORKING PRODUCTIVITY

PURPOSE: A brush roll apparatus having expandable diameter is provided to improve working productivity by simply removing degreasing flaws of strip generated on a partial abrasion part of brush roll, thereby performing continuous degreasing and rolling operations and reduce working cost by extending replacement cycle of the brush roll. CONSTITUTION: In a brush roll apparatus for degreasing the surface of strip (S) passing through a space between brush roll(310) and brush back up roll(320), the brush roll apparatus having expandable diameter comprises an outer diameter measuring part(10) comprising a measuring roll(14a) descended to the side of abrasion part(350) of the brush roll, and a measuring roll(14b) contacted with the center of the brush roll to measure the outer diameter abrasion state of the brush roll by measuring displacement of the measuring rolls; an expansion part in which an expansion type disk expands outer diameter of the brush roll to a radius direction of fixed type disk from the abrasion part of the brush roll by forward and backward operation of push rod(45) inside cylinder member(42); a cutting part comprising cutter blades and motor for cutting brush fibers positioned on the abrasion part of the brush roll to a certain diameter; and a control part for automatically controlling series of operations of the outer diameter measuring part, the expansion part and the cutting part according to preliminary programmed sequence.
