PURPOSE: An electrode and a battery using the same are provided to improve cycle properties by reducing damages in the structure of active materials caused by repeated expansion-and-shrinkage upon charge and discharge processes and also reducing the reactivity with electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: The electrode(10) comprises: a current collector(11) comprising at least one selected from Cu, Ni, Ti, Fe and Cr; a layer(12) of an active material mounted on the current collector, which comprises at least on selected from Si and Ge compounds; a film layer(13) mounted on the active material layer, which comprises at least one Cu and Ni. |
