PURPOSE: A cylinder head of an internal combustion engine is provided to promote improvement of engine output and igniting performance by reducing the gradient when a spark plug is arranged with inclination and to promote weight reduction of the internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder head of an internal combustion engine(E) is combined to a cylinder. The cylinder head comprises an insertion hole(31) in which a spark plug(30) having an electrode part facing the nearly central part of a combustion chamber(27) is inserted; a first bearing part(51) and a second bearing part(53) rotatably supporting a single camshaft(41) to which a moving valve cam for opening and shutting a suction valve and an exhaust valve(33) is installed; and a fitting face(23) to which a cylinder head cover(22) is combined via a seal member(24). The first bearing part supporting one end of the camshaft is situated to a position overlapped with the insertion hole in the plane and situated between the insertion hole and the fitting face in the cylinder axis direction. The first bearing is constituted by side walls(54) of the cylinder head in the axis direction of the camshaft and the first bearing covers the whole section of one end of the camshaft. In the shaft direction, the spark plug or a plug cap(56) mounted to the spark plug is overlapped with the first bearing part.
