PURPOSE: A transflective liquid crystal display is provided to improve brightness and color purity balance by forming through holes on color filter patterns corresponding to a reflective plate of an array substrate. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate(110) and a second substrate(150) are arranged at a certain gap. Gate lines and data lines(121) are formed on the first substrate for defining pixel areas having reflective areas(RA) and a transmissive area(TA). Thin film transistors are formed at cross points of the gate lines and the data lines. First and third passivation layers are formed on the reflective area, and a second passivation layer is formed on the transmissive area, covering the gate lines, the data lines, and the thin film transistors. Pixel electrodes(140) are connected with the thin film transistors formed on the first to third passivation layers. A reflective plate(145) is formed on the pixel electrodes corresponding to the first and third passivation layers. Red, green, and blue color filter patterns(155a,155b) are formed at a lower part of the second substrate, having through holes(TH). Column spacers(170) are formed corresponding to the through holes of the red, green, and blue color filter patterns. A common electrode(165) is formed under the color filter patterns. A liquid crystal layer(180) is interposed between the pixel electrodes and the common electrode.
