PURPOSE: An impact beam of a vehicle door with a bending locator is provided to reduce injuries of passengers by turning down the impact beam at the bending locator positioned at a distance from passengers in a broadside collision. CONSTITUTION: An impact beam(5) embedded in a door of a vehicle and laid across the door from the front to the rear comprises a bending locator mounted between the side of the impact beam and an outer panel(7) of the door and composed of a rod(61) contacted to the impact beam and a housing part(62) covering the rod. The bending locator is installed at a predetermined distance in front of a hip point of a passenger. The I-shaped rod of the bending locator is contacted with the impact beam in the middle, the housing part has a concave part(62') contacted to the impact beam and the bottom of the concave part is on the extended plane of the rod.
