RELIABLE MESSAGE DELIVERY HAVING ASSURANCE AND FEATURE CONFIGURABLE BETWEEN TWO ENDPOINTS

PURPOSE: A reliable message delivery having assurance and feature configurable between two endpoints is provided to offer reliable messaging abstraction simplifying application development by offering a single program module allowing setting of endpoint-to-endpoint transfer assurance for selecting a specified message sender or sender at an execution time. CONSTITUTION: Reliable messaging protocol(125) is provided to reliable messaging stacks(100a,100b). Reliable messaging framework(120) assures that the messages(115) sent from an application(105) are correctly reached to a destination endpoint. If the application sends the messages to an application(185), the application sends the messages to the reliable messaging framework. In the messaging framework, the messages are assigned to a session and a message order number are given to the messages.
