PURPOSE: An electromagnetic clutch is provided to prevent noise in moving the armature in radial direction or axial direction beyond the movable range from wrong operation by forming the movement restricting unit of the armature. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic clutch is composed of an electromagnetic coil(3) supplying power to generate electromagnetic force, a rotor(4) rotated by the driving source, an armature(6) attracted to the rotor by the electromagnetic force from the electromagnetic coil to receive driving force of the rotor, a hub(7) combined with the driven unit, a spring unit combined with the hub, a plate combined with the spring unit, an elastic member(14) contacted to the armature and the plate and inserted between the armature and the plate, and a restricting unit restricting radial movement of the armature in separating the armature from the hub.
