FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates, in particular, to a method for preparing N,N-dibenzylethylenediamine used in manufacturing medicinal agents. Method for preparing N.,N-dibenzylethylenediamine is carried out by interaction of benzylamine and 1,2-dichloroethane in the mole ratio benzylamine : 1,2-dichloroethane = (2.5-8):1. Synthesis is carried out at boiling point of the reaction mixture with continuous circulation of 1,2-dichloroethane through reaction mass of reactor and partial condenser up to its complete conversion. Then prepared dibenzylethylenediamine dichlorohydrin is neutralized with alkali aqueous solution at temperature 50-60oC. An aqueous-saline layer is separated from an organic layer by dividing into layers. The end product is isolated from organic layer by distillation off of moisture residues, excessive benzylamine and monobenzylethylenediamine by rectifying under vacuum 25-80 mm of mercury column. ^ EFFECT: enhanced selectivity of process, simplified technology. ^ 1 tbl, 5 ex |
