The invention relates to articles treatment, in particular to assembling and disassembling metallic and non-metallic units and is used mainly for demounting insulation coatings of ocean vessels. The inventive method consists in performing an action on an insulation layer in such a way that it is bent and detached from a metalic base. For this purpose, the insulation layer is perforated, a highly-pressurised water jet is supplied through said perforation, thereby forming a main hydraulic wedge whose sharp edge is oriented towards where said insulation layer and metallic base are jointed. Said invention simplifies the removing of the insulation layer from the metallic base by simplifying the force application to the junction point of materials as a result of a more convenient energy supply to the zone of jointing and a non-use of strong cutting tools. |
