The invention relates to household and industrial waste recycling engineering and can be used for the rubber industry, municipal housing economy, the fuel-and-power sector and the petrochemical industry for producing raw material and fuel resources. The inventive method for reprocessing rubber waste consists in thermally decomposing said waste in a reactor in a gas-vapour medium, dividing decomposition products into solid and gaseous products and in extracting oil from said gaseous products. The oil is extracted in the form of a high-boiling fraction by cooling the gaseous products in a refrigerator to a temperature of T=250-360 DEG C. A low-boiling fraction is produced by cooling the gaseous products to a temperature T=105-120 DEG C after the extraction of the high-boiling fraction. After the oil extraction, said gaseous products are combusted, thereby using the combustion products in the form of a heat carrier for the reactor external heating. A gas heater is used as a refrigerator for extracting the high-boiling oil fraction, water steam is used as a heated gas which afterwards is supplied to the reactor.
