The storage for compact discs has a modular tube of non-ferrous material in which ferrous tubes (4) and magnets (3) are inserted. The articles (5) to be stored or displayed are provided with metal bars. A magnetic connecting tube insert (6) allows connection of each pair of main tubes to allow increase of the tube storage capacity.
