PURPOSE: An apparatus for manufacturing a thermal transfer color filter layer, and a method for manufacturing a color filter layer using the same are provided to reduce a moving space of laser heads and a moving space of a stage for securing and moving a substrate, and increase throughput. CONSTITUTION: A black matrix layer is formed on a substrate(33) at a predetermined gap. A transfer film to which color materials are applied is formed on a whole surface of the substrate including the black matrix layer. The applied color materials are transferred to the substrate by irradiating laser beams(44) from at least two or more laser heads(31,32) to form a color filter layer. A passivation layer is formed on the whole surface of the substrate. A common electrode layer is formed on the whole surface.
