PURPOSE: A method for setting an RF channel of a VCR is provided to randomly designate an RF channel setup button, and to automatically set an RF output channel when the setup button is inputted, thereby increasing user convenience. CONSTITUTION: A controller decides whether a VCR is powered on(S200). If so, the controller decides whether an 'easy' key signal is applied(S202). If so, the controller performs an automatic search process(S204). The controller decides whether a no signal or a VCR icon signal is outputted during the automatic search process(S206). If so, the controller temporarily stops the automatic search process, and displays a VCR screen(S208). The controller decides whether the 'easy' key signal is re-applied(S210). If so, the controller sets a channel corresponding to the no signal or the VCR icon signal to an RF output channel(S212).
