METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF REFRIGERATOR FOR SEASON SELECTION FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A driving control method of a refrigerator for season selection function is provided to regulate operation and defrosting of the refrigerator, and to reduce power consumption by setting on and off temperature of a compressor and defrosting cycle according to external temperature and humidity of each season. CONSTITUTION: A present season is selected by detecting temperature of external air with a season selection unit(201). A microcomputer decides the selected season by the season selection unit(202). On or off-temperature is decreased or increased from the reference value to turn on or off the compressor corresponding to the season selected by the season selection button, and the defrosting cycle is increased or decreased from the reference value according to the selected button of each season(203-214). The compressor and a defrosting heater are operated according to on or off-temperature of the compressor and the defrosting cycle.
