FLOW CONTROL METHOD IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, PARTICULARLY FOR TRANSMITTING A FLOR CONTROL MESSAGE DEMANDING MORE DATA FROM THE FIRST COMMUNICATION DEVICE BASED ON DATA OUTPUT AMOUNT BY THE FIRST COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND USABLE DATA STORAGE CAPACITY OF THE FIRST COMMUNICATION DEVICE

PURPOSE: A flow control method in a communication system is provided to control a data flow from one communication device to the other communication device by using a flow control message transmitted from the first communication device to the second communication device. CONSTITUTION: A BTS(Base station Transmission System) initializes a packet counter as 0(S10) and determines a state of a transmission buffer(S12). The BTS determines whether the transmission buffer is almost full or almost empty(S14). If the BTS determines that the transmission buffer is almost full, it sets the same packet counter threshold value as the first value(S16). If the BTS determines that the transmission buffer is almost empty, it sets the same packet counter threshold value as the second value(S18). The BTS determines whether the packet count is greater than or the same as the established counter threshold value(S20). If the packet count is greater than or the same as the established counter threshold value, the BTS is reset as 0(S22).
