COLOR FILTER, DISPLAY DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEM TO FORM A COLORED LAYER WITHOUT ANY MISSING COLOR

PURPOSE: A color filter, a display device, and a method for manufacturing them are provided to prevent bubbles from being generated between a colored layer and a substrate, thereby failing to generate any missing color in the colored layer. CONSTITUTION: A color filter is manufactured by applying a colored film onto a substrate(3) provided with a resin black matrix(12). The method for manufacturing the color filter includes forming an edge portion(13) of the resin black matrix arranged above a portion onto which the colored film is applied. The edge portion is lower than any other portions of the resin black matrix to previously form a step difference in the resin black matrix. Accordingly, bubbles(11) to be generated on the substrate are guided above the edge portion of the resin black matrix and do not generate any adverse effect over the circumference of the edge portion.
