PURPOSE: A method for managing a system using a software watchdog is provided to analyze an error cause of software by offering execution information such as a task occurring a failure and a program counter value of the task when the system is reset by a software system abnormal state. CONSTITUTION: When the system is started, a timer value is increased in a predetermined time unit. If a process is normally executed, the timer value is initialized. It is judged that the timer value is reached to a reference value for judging the abnormal state(S12). If the timer value is reached to the reference value, the execution information of a currently executed process is stored(S14). The system is reset after storing the execution information(S16).
