PURPOSE: A device and a method for booting interactive contents are provided to display the contents intended by a contents maker without regard to a sort of a playback engine by booting only the interactive contents playback engine. CONSTITUTION: An interactive contents detector(21) detects the interactive contents. An interactive booting file extractor(22) extracts an interface booting file needed for the playback of the interactive contents if the interactive contents are detected from the interactive contents detector. An interactive booting file loader(23) loads the extracted interactive booting file to a main memory of the interactive contents playback engine playing the interactive contents.
