SCAN TYPE ON-LINE THICKNESS GAUGE WITH PC AND PLC

PURPOSE: A scan type on-line thickness gauge is provided to process a great amount of data by using a PC replacing a body with a complicated structure, Ethernet for interfacing with a control box, and a window program. CONSTITUTION: A scan type on-line thickness gauge includes a gauge(23), a scanner(24), a control box(25), an instruction inputting and measurement result displaying part(21), and a PC(22). The gauge(23) measures a thickness of an object. The scanner(24) has the gauge(23) attached thereto. The control box(25) includes a programmable logic controller and controls a scanner. The instruction inputting and measurement result displaying part(21) receives an instruction for controlling the scanner(24) and displays a measurement result of the gauge(23). The PC(22) receives the instruction inputted from the instruction inputting and measurement result displaying part(21) and transfers the instruction to the PLC. The PC(22) includes a counter board processing a signal from the gauge(23) and is connected to the PLC and Ethernet.
