SUPERVISOR HANDOVER METHOD IN BLUETOOTH HIGH-SPEED SUBNET, CONCERNED WITH REDUCING TIME FOR SUPERVISOR HANDOVER

PURPOSE: A supervisor handover method in a Bluetooth high-speed subnet is provided to pre-determine a candidate supervisor before a supervisor handover, and make the candidate supervisor broadcast an inquire message to each member, then to configure an HR(High Rate) scatternet for a member not responding or an HR subnet for a responding member, thereby reducing time for the supervisor handover. CONSTITUTION: When an HR synchronization time elapses or an LMP(Link Message Protocol) handover request is received from a supervisor(100), a supervisor handover is started(S213). Since all HR members(120,130) recognize a pre-determined candidate supervisor(110), the candidate supervisor(110) broadcasts an inquire message to each HR member(120,130) when the supervisor handover is generated(S215,S216). All the HR members(120,130) respond to the broadcasted inquire message(S219,S220). The candidate supervisor(110) receiving the response from the members(120,130) performs an HR synchronization process to function as a supervisor(S260,S261), and completes the supervisor handover.
