PURPOSE: A device for selectively recognizing CM(Commercial Messages) is provided to selectively watch the CM using each CM code provided from a broadcasting station. CONSTITUTION: A code input unit(11) inputs a code number for watching CM. A tuner unit(17) receives a plurality of broadcasting and the CM transmitted from a broadcasting transmitting unit(S1). A microcomputer(13) stores the code number provided from the code input unit in a code memory(15), and provides a code number corresponding to the CM among a plurality of the broadcasting and the CM provided from the tuner unit. The microcomputer receives a code number corresponding to compared and selected CM, and outputs CM automatically changed to a channel corresponding to the received code number through an OSD(On Screen Display)(20). A code comparator(19) compares the code number stored in the code memory with the code number corresponding to the CM provided from the microcomputer. If the code number stored in the code memory is identical to the code number corresponding to the CM provided from the microcomputer, the code comparator selects the CM and provides the code number corresponding to the selected CM to the microcomputer.
