PURPOSE: A steam injection-type drum washing machine is provided to economize water and electricity by quickly wetting the laundry in an initial water-supply step and to improve sterilizing and washing efficiencies by heating the water into high-temperature and high-pressure steam through a steam generator and supplying the steamed water into a tub and a drum. CONSTITUTION: A steam injection-type drum washing machine is composed of a pressure vessel connected to a water supply device(62); a heater mounted in the pressure vessel to heat the water; inlet and discharge valves disposed on the upside of the pressure vessel and opened and closed to the pressure in the pressure vessel to flow in and discharge the water, respectively; and an air chamber formed at the upside in the pressure vessel to supply the water in the pressure vessel up to a constant level. The water supply device comprises water supply passages(62c,62c') having ends connected with the pressure vessel to supply the water to the pressure vessel and a steam passage(62d) having one end connected to the pressure vessel and the other end positioned in a tub(56) and a drum(58) to supply the steam into the tub and drum.
