COLOR CONVERSION DEVICE AND COLOR CONVERSION METHOD

PURPOSE: A color conversion device and a color conversion method are provided to reproduce the most similar color corresponding to a standard input color signal in a target device by converting the inputted standard color signal to match a color gamut of the inputted standard color signal with a color gamut of the target device. CONSTITUTION: An input unit having a linear correction unit(100) and a CIE color signal converting unit(200) converts an inputted first color signal into the second color signal, and outputs the second color signal. A color gamut matching unit(300) outputs the third color signal in which the second color signal is corrected to match a standard color gamut of the first color signal with a color gamut of a target device. An output unit having an RGB color signal converting unit(400) and a tone curve compensating unit(500) converts the third color signal into a color signal usable in the target device, and outputs the converted color signal.
