The cable fitting for a vine trellis post (4) has a moulded plastic body with lateral flanges (2a) to engage openings in the metal post and retain the fitting. The body has a central curved face (7) to engage the concave surface of the post. The curved face supports a T-shaped spigot (10) onto which the trellis cable is fitted.
