摘要 PURPOSE: A transflective liquid crystal display, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce refraction anisotropy of liquid crystal by controlling a liquid crystal tilt angle of a reflective part with liquid crystal having the same refraction, thereby reducing a phase delay value of the reflective part into a half of a transmissive part. CONSTITUTION: An upper substrate(51) and a lower substrate(31) are installed. A transmissive electrode(33) is formed on the lower substrate. A reflective part(35) with embossed patterns and a transmissive part without a resin layer are formed on the transmissive electrode on the lower substrate. A first high pre-tilt alignment film(39a) and a first low pre-tilt alignment film(43a) are formed on a reflective electrode(37) formed at the embossed pattern and the transmissive electrode. An RGB resin layer(53) and a transparent electrode(55) are formed under the upper substrate. A second high pre-tilt alignment film(57) and a second low pre-tilt alignment film(59) are formed under the transparent electrode, corresponding to the first high pre-tilt alignment and the first low pre-tilt alignment. A liquid crystal layer(71) is arranged between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. Polarizing plates are attached to the outsides of the upper substrate and the lower substrate. A phase compensating film is included in the polarizing plate of the upper substrate.
