LOCKING DEVICE OF A MORTISE LOCK FOR RELIABLY OPERATING A LATCH AND A DEAD BOLT WITHIN A CONFINED SPACE

PURPOSE: A locking device of a mortise lock is provided to improve reliability of the locking device by reliably operating a latch and a dead bolt within a confined space, and to simplify the locking device by using a grip of a door in order to release the latch. CONSTITUTION: A locking device of a mortise lock includes a dead bolt cam(119), a latch link(137), and a latch link and dead bolt cam(119) operating unit. The dead bolt cam(119) rotates by a predetermined angle on the basis of a key lever shaft in order to move a dead bolt between a locking position and an opening position. The latch link(137) moves a latch between the locking position and the opening position. The latch link and dead bolt cam(119) operating unit is integrated with a latch releasing shaft in order to operate the latch link and the dead bolt cam(119). The latch link and dead bolt cam(119) moves the latch link to the opening position if the latch releasing shaft rotates in a first direction and the dead bolt cam(119) to the locking position if the latch releasing shaft rotates in a second direction.
