PURPOSE: A system and method for providing geographical information searching service using location code, and a recording medium for a computer installed a program for the same are provided to enable a user to search geographical information provided by a service provider, generate a location code by him/herself. CONSTITUTION: A screen display part(100) displays a menu and a screen. A service control part(110) includes a location searching part(112), a location code generation part(114), and a location code searching part(116). A location code generation part(114) makes a user generated desired location code, and the generated location code is stored at a DB(130). A location searching server(120) executes required search from the location searching part(112) using a location information DB(160), and transmits the searched location to the location searching part(112). An area searching server(140) refers a map information DB(170), and finds the requested location on a map.
