PURPOSE: A pedestal for a washing machine is provided to facilitate an installation process and to shorten the operation time by fitting legs to a pedestal while the legs of the washing machine are mounted and fixing the legs by passing a fixing member through the pedestal. CONSTITUTION: A pedestal for a washing machine is composed of a pedestal body(50) for holding the washing machine at the predetermined height; a supporter(62) combined to an edge of the upside of the pedestal body and inserted with legs(70) installed at the bottom face of the washing machine; and a fixing member(65) mounted with passing through the pedestal to hang and fix the legs to the pedestal body. The pedestal comprises a bottom face part(62a) for supporting the legs and a movement-preventing wall(62b) projected upward from both ends of the bottom face part to restrict the legs from moving.
