In a circuit for activation of a two-state solenoid valve, in which an electromagnet is supplied with an electrical pulse for switching the valve from one state to another, an electrical supply device supplied with the supply voltage (Uv) from a voltage supply source is activated by an activation signal (Enable) for the duration of the electrical pulse, to generate a current flowing through an electromagnetic coil (13). The coil current is regulated at a set value. Conversion devices (flip-flop, T4, mono-flop, T3) are provided for decreasing the set value for the coil current during the pulse. An independent claim is also included for a process of activating a two-state solenoid valve.
