LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR FORMING A COLUMN SPACER CORRESPONDING TO A PART WHERE A STORAGE CONTACT HOLE IS FORMED

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve display quality of a liquid crystal display by forming a column spacer corresponding to a part where a storage contact hole is formed. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display is formed of a lower substrate(5000), an upper substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The lower substrate includes a storage capacitor acting as an auxiliary capacitor, and a passivation film covering the storage capacitor. A storage contact hole(800) is formed on the passivation film for exposing the storage capacitor. The upper substrate is combined with the lower substrate. A spacer is installed at a position corresponding to the storage contact hole.
