PURPOSE: An optional water-purifying device for an ice machine is provided to simply mount and remove the optional water-purifying device to a usual service water direct connection-type ice machine and to improve the quality of ice made from the ice machine. CONSTITUTION: An optional water-purifying device(100) for an ice machine comprises a casing(111) detachably combined to an ice machine body; a water-purifying unit installed to a side of the inside of the casing; and a power supply part(180) supplying power to the water-purifying unit. The water-purifying unit purifies water supplied from water supply facilities and supplies the water to the ice machine body. The water-purifying unit includes a water purifier(101) and a sterilizing lamp(105). The water-purifying unit further includes a holder(113) fixing the water-purifying unit to the inside of the casing.
