PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current limiter in which a distributed power supply can be prevented from being stopped by a short circuit or ground fault occurring on the commercial power supply side. SOLUTION: The current limiter 2 comprises a DC/AC converter 6 for converting a DC voltage into an AC voltage being applied between a cogeneration bus L3 and a power receiving bus L1, and a circuit 5 for controlling the DC/AC converter 6 such that the difference of a voltage on the power receiving bus L1 under normal state and a voltage on the power receiving bus L1 at the time of fault is generated between the cogeneration bus L3 and a power receiving bus L1. Consequently, a current flowing from a distributed power supply 9 to the commercial power supply 1 side can be kept constant regardless of a fault. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
