PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric coupler capable of easily connecting a number of network devices to a switching device or a switching apparatus. SOLUTION: The electric coupler 100 has a first housing 104 composed of at least one receptacle jack 154 and a second housing 102. The second housing 102 is joined to the first housing 104 and provided with at least one pair of receptacle jacks 118, 120 corresponding to the receptacle jack 154. A distribution assembly 180 is extended between the housings 104, 102. The distribution assembly 180 has a plurality of contacts 126, 160 arranged in respective receptacle jacks 118, 120 and 154. The distribution assembly 180 distributes signals inputted to the receptacle jack 154 to respective lacks 118, 120. The coupler 100 of either of housings 104, 103 is mounted on a panel.
