PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder that can record a high quality image by using a recording head wherein a plurality of recording elements are arranged in an array and at least two recording elements thereof are arranged in a scanning direction across the direction of the array of the recording elements and to provide a method of recording. SOLUTION: The recording head is so constituted that a plurality of ejection nozzles 25 are arranged in an array and at least the two nozzles therein are arranged in the scanning direction across the direction of the array of the nozzles 25. When the recording is performed by using the recording head, driving timings for ejecting the ink from the ejection nozzles 25 arranged in the scanning direction are made in the identical timing at predetermined intervals.
