PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a flat cable for improving strength against exfoliation of a margin portion. SOLUTION: Both of insulating films 5a, 5b facing each other on the both sides of each line-like conductor 1 are welded by ultrasonic waves by horn portion for welding and an anvil for welding 12 in a state that the plurality of the conductors 1 are grasped by the films 5a, 5b. In this case, the length in a flat cable width direction of a film grasping portion 27 at the anvil 12 for welding by ultrasonic waves a marginal portion 29 is formed broadly, and a welding portion welding width S of a marginal portion welding portion 29a at the marginal portion 29 is formed broadly. After that, the both films 5a, 5b are fusion-cut by ultrasonic waves by a horn portion for cutting and an anvil blade for cutting, then the flat cable having the marginal portion 29 of prescribed marginal width T on the both sides is manufactured.
