IMAGE TRANSFER DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS MOUNTED WITH SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a transfer roller to be displaced relatively to a photoreceptor drum and to eliminate adverse influence of displacement constitution of the transfer roller upon image quality. SOLUTION: An image transfer device 60 is composed principally of a transfer roller 9 which presses a form carrier belt 8 against a photoreceptor drum 4. A transfer roller support 61 which supports the transfer roller 9 is supported on a horizontal support shaft 62 and rotates on the support shaft 62 to be displaced relatively to the photoreceptor drum 4. The transfer roller support 61 is energized by a compression coil spring 63 so that the transfer roller 9 approaches the photoreceptor drum 4. The transfer roller support 61 is fitted with an electrostatic discharge stylus 64. A compression coil spring 68 constituting an earth line of the electrostatic discharge stylus 64 is connected to the electrostatic discharge stylus 64 through the support shaft 62 as an electric repeating point and a pressure conversion point.
