PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiographic image information reader which surely detects the front end position of a stimulable phosphor sheet and obtains high-definition radiographic image information of high image quality. SOLUTION: A condensing mirror 106 has a dichroic filter 108 which reflects stimulated phosphorescent light R to guide it to condensing guides 84 and 98 and transmits exciting light L reflected by a stimulable phosphor sheet IP, in one surface on the side of the stimulable phosphor sheet IP and has an exciting light antireflection filter 109 which prevents reflection of the exciting light L, on the other surface. Exciting light L reflected by the stimulable phosphor sheet IP is transmitted through the condensing mirror 106 and is guided to an exciting light detection sensor 111 in such a state that reflection is prevented by the exciting light antireflection filter 109.
