PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for positioning a concrete pile by which the working ratio of a pile driver is improved and the term of work can be shortened while stable welding can be conducted. SOLUTION: When the concrete pile is positioned, excavation work in which a drilled pit 3 is formed by using the pile driver 2 is conducted while a lower pile 11 is inserted into a temporary pit 20 previously formed at a place separate from the pile 3. Welding work in which an upper pile 12 transported by a crane 8 is extended to the lower pile 11 is conducted, and the extended concrete pile 10D is moved to a section immediately above the pit 3 by using the crane 8 and inserted into the pit 3.
