PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat whereby impact applied to the head of an occupant on a rear seat can be relieved. SOLUTION: A seatback 1 of the seat is provided with a frame 3 and a plate member 4 forming a framework 2. The frame 3 is equipped with side frame parts 3a arranged on both side parts of the seatback 1, and a top frame part 3b connecting top ends of the side frame parts 3a. The plate member 4 is fixed across the side frames 3a on a position to which the head of the occupant on the rear seat abuts when the occupant on the rear seat is jumped ahead at an accident of the vehicle. Notches 4a are provided on the plate member 4 so that deformation quantity of the plate member 4 by abutting of the head of the occupant on the rear seat is increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
