SUPPORTING BODY FOR PNEUMATIC TIRE AND TIRE/WHEEL ASSEMBLY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting body for a pneumatic tire capable of improving workability when assembling a tire/wheel assembly provided with the supporting body for the pneumatic tire by using an existing wheel, and the tire/wheel assembly using the supporting body. SOLUTION: This supporting body 4 for the pneumatic tire is mounted on a rim 3 of the wheel 2. The supporting body 4 has an annular body 8 provided with left and right leg parts 7 opened into a fork-shape on an inner peripheral side of an outer peripheral supporting part 6 having a supporting surface 5 for supporting a tire internal surface 1b on an outer peripheral side during run flat traveling. An annular sealing chamber part 12 in which an extensible expansion layer 11 is arranged on the inner peripheral side is formed between the left and right leg parts 7. Air can be made to flow into the sealing chamber part 12 via a one-way valve 13.
