<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation in tilt compensating capabilities of an optical head by assembling the optical head in consideration of aberrations of an objective lens and to compensate aberrations resulting from the warp of an optical recording medium to more stably perform reproducing and/or recording by using this optical head. <P>SOLUTION: The optical head for recording and/or reproducing signals on an optical recording medium 8 has a light source 1, an objective lens 7 for condensing light emitted from the light source 1 to the optical recording medium 8, and an objective lens tilting means 13 for tilting the objective lens 7 in order to compensate aberrations resulting from tilt of the optical recording medium 8 and is so assembled that the direction of comatic aberration which the objective lens 7 itself has and the direction in which the objective lens tilting means 13 tilts the objective lens 7 are orthogonal to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
